Todd Shattuck graduated from USC in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. He then joined the Teach for America program, became a District Intern and taught at Horace Mann Junior High School as a science teacher. Since then he has worked as an intern instructor at LAUSD District Intern Instructor, an instructor trainer at LAUSD New Teacher Training Academy, and an instructor at LASI - Enhancing Science.
Furthermore, from 1999 to 2006 he began working at the Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies where he was an instructor for Computers, Applications, and AP Java, an instructor for Biology, Physiology, and 8th grade Science, LACES Technology Coordinator, Head Coach for Boy's and Girl's Swim and Dive Teams, Girl's Soccer, and an Intel Instructor of "Teach to the Future."
Following that, Todd then worked at the Center for Marine Studies from 2006 to 2009. He was the Director of Education, where he created and ran programs for curricular field trips to both The Marine Mammal Care Center (injured seals and sea lions) and The International Bird Rescue Research Center (oiled marine birds). At the center for Marine Studies he was an Instructor for two-week "electro luminescence" program for Gear Up.
